Tippet Rings

Tippet rings have become a necessary part of my fly fishing set up. They increase the life of your leader and make changing tippet sizes a breeze. Simply attach one to the end of your leader with a clinch, uni or knot of your choice, and then use another knot to attach the tippet to the ring.

Tippet rings are ultra light weight and do not effect the performance or floatation of dry flies. Tippet rings can be used in the construction any leader system.

Micro rings simplify the construction of leaders and save material. The ultra-smooth and durable titanium material from which micro rings are constructed does not affect the durability of knots. Fast, effective and easy as can be.

The main drawback to using tippet rings is that they are small and can be hard to handle. The best way I’ve found to offset this is to feed them into a snap swivel or Safety Pin. Tie the leader or tippet to the ring while it’s still on the snap or pin. When done, open the snap and slide off the ring.
