The Duracell was originally created, near as I can tell from what I read online, by Craig McDonald, the Duracell has quickly become a favourite pattern among the Euro or Czech style nymphing crowd.
I'm very particular with the dubbing, so when I saw this was created almost entirely from one of my favourite dubbing materials, I upped the ante and created my own blend with the help of Brent at the Lost Fly.
It was quickly figured I was backing a winner, and it's been a winning confidence fly pattern for years. The Duracell simply put out performs most other flies on the days a few us fish it.
It makes sense to get yourself a few, so you won’t be left wanting more when you lose them.
