The Hares Ear Blowtorch (Half Dozen)
The Blowtorch is a widely successful fly pattern designed by Devin Olsen. The Hare’s Ear is a classic nymph that will catch fish in just about any stream around the world. The combination of the Crossover Nymph and the Blowtorch Nymph by Devin Olsen created a nymph that was a lighter toned variant on the original Blowtorch.
Our version of the Hare’s Ear Blowtorch, has a really nice mix of buggy hare and squirrel dubbing and a bright hotspot that help getting fish to eat it, just like the original. It’s a little bit ‘louder’ than the original, with a muted body tone.
